Many dieters want to know, are carbohydrates making me fat, or do all carbs make you fat and the answer to that according to Isabel, is a resounding – no. The truth is that the body requires carbohydrates for it to function properly. If you don’t eat carbs, you won’t have any energy at all, and your brain and spinal cord will not function optimally.
What is a carb?.
Carbs can take the form of bread, pasta and potatoes, but they can also include fruit, vegetables and some beans. Many people are conditioned to thinking about the starchy carbs, where as you can get the carbohydrates your body requires from fruits, vegetables and legumes (lentils, beans, chickpeas etc) and not sabotage your healthy weight loss diet.
If you exercise you definitely need to eat carbs, but most people eat them in the form of processed goods, bread and potatoes and that’s where they’re going wrong.
