My name is Ross, I’m 37 years old and fairly passionate about life, living, and being healthy. I’m a rehabilitation health professional for my day job, so not directly involved in weight loss and nutrition, however have studied as part of my degree, human physiology, anatomy, neuro-physiology and origins of disease etc. Additionally, on a personal level I’ve had a huge interest in health and fitness, nutrition, body building and weight loss since my early teenage years and as a result digested huge quantities of research from various books, magazines and websites. The early body builders were my heroes (Arnold Schwarzenegger, Lou Ferrigno) and I have spent hours studying up on their success strategies and techniques.
Out with the Dated Conventional Wisdom
Through this research I have come to realise that much of the advice still being pushed by so called Celebrity Health Experts is really conflicting information and dated conventional wisdom and not in fact at the cutting edge of weight loss nutrition and strategies, and there is much more you can do to ensure your fat burning success other than follow the healthy food pyramid!
Although I’ve never had a serious weight issue and always been physically fit and active, over the last few years I’ve become a bit slack with my lifestyle and let other things get in the way. Approaching 40 years old, I don’t want to be the dad with the spare tire around his waist so as motivation for me to prevent that happening, I decided to share some of what I’ve learned over the years with you as readers through this website to keep me focused.
If I don’t have the best information for you, I’ll point you in the direction of some great resources which will help you achieve your weight loss goals.
Here’s to your health.
